Location, directions and parking
We are located at 536 Rosewill Valley Rd, if this is your first time visiting, please allow extra travel
time so you can find us.
Travelling from Timaru you may come either from Kellands Hill or Pleasant Point Highway.
From Kellands Hill follow the road, Kellands Hill Rd becomes Rosewill Valley Rd near the bottom of
the hill. We are located on the right before you get to the Bassett Rd intersection, about 7km from
Kellands Hill.
From Pleasant Point Highway, travel for about 3km from Washdyke towards Pleasant Point and
turn left onto Cartright Rd. At the end of Cartright Rd, turn right onto Rosewill Valley Rd. We are
located on your right about 4km up the road before you get to the Bassett Rd intersection.
Parking is available in front of the house. Head onto the deck and find the second door labelled Float
Pod Entrance.

Hair this...
If you have coloured hair, you need to make sure the water is running clear when showering and it wouldn't leave colour on a white towel. Please note there are some hair colours that are more likely to stain the pods. Please ask us before your appointment is due. It is also advisable that you do not float with freshly coloured hair even if it is not leaching as the salt water is likely to strip/affect your colour if it has not set properly (usually 2 weeks after colouring hair is okay).
Please note dreaded hair needs to be washed at home before you arrive.
You will be able to dry off your locks afterwards if needed, please bring a brush/comb.
Avoid shaving before you float.
Smell that...
Please refrain from using perfume/cologne/skin creams on the morning of your float.
Please don't apply colognes/perfumes or scented deodorants or sprays within the float pod space.
Trust your gut...
It's best not to drink coffee on the morning of your float.·
If you need to eat prior to your float, make it something clean and light 1-2 hours prior.
Hydrate before and after.
What to Bring
Essentially we provide everything you need other than a hairbrush or comb.
What to Expect
Floating is a unique offering where you experience sensory deprivation and deep relaxation.
Our pod is big and spacious so you will be unlikely to experience claustrophobia. You can leave the pod lid open initially but you may find it a bit cold to leave open for the whole session.
All bodies entering the pod must be clean and freshly showered.
We are located on a rural property managing our own waste-water on-site. Minimising environmental impact is a key measure for us, we ask you help by following our Water & Chemical Use policy (available on site).
You cannot float if you have any of the following...
Menstruation. Sorry, if it's that time of the month you will be unable to float.
If you are in the first 6 months of breastfeeding.
Have had an epileptic seizure in the last two years.
Have any serious heart disease.
Have any infectious disease.
Have diarrhoea.
Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Have spray tanned or used tanning products in the last 5 days (or until all tanning products have been exfoliated off the skin
Have had intravenous chemotherapy in the last 30 days, or oral chemotherapy in the last 14days.
Have Kidney Disease.
Currently experiencing psychosis.
Are incontinent.
Have open wounds.
Have a shoulder or neck imbalance that stops you from lying flat.

Are recovering from a concussion.
Have had a bout of vertigo in the last 6 months.
Have tinnitus.
Are prone to travel sickness.
Have any other concerns.

What to bring:
Jandals or some type of slip-on footwear for walking on gravel.
Sauna is nude, bathing suit, or clean shorts – be mindful of any metal clasps on clothing that might heat up in the Sauna.
